OpenAI Decisions API pricing: what's known (and what isn't)
Short version: OpenAI has not published Decisions API pricing. Below is the only verifiable information, plus what a working decisions API costs on this site today.
OpenAI Decisions API — not published
Announced 29 Sep 2026 as a limited preview. There is no public price list, no published per-call fee, no published rate limits. Any number you see attributed to “Decisions API pricing” elsewhere is either Luna's chat-model pricing copied across or a guess.
For reference only: GPT-6 Luna (the model that reportedly powers Decisions) lists $0.10 / 1M input tokens and $0.50 / 1M output tokens on OpenRouter's public register (source). A dedicated decisions endpoint could price differently — flat per call, per token, or bundled. We will update this page when OpenAI publishes real numbers.

The live model behind this site's playground and /v1/decisions endpoint is TypeSafe's Jev System One. Upstream list price is $42 per billion input tokens ($0.042 / 1M), output free (typesafe.ai). Decisions-style calls are small — typically well under 1,000 input tokens each — so the upstream cost per decision is fractions of a cent.
